Medium-frequency conversion technology
Aselt generators use IGBT/MOSFET semiconductor technology for static power conversion, operating across a frequency range of 5 to 40 kHz. This allows wide adaptability to hardening, tempering and brazing treatments as well as localised heating.
Key technical features include chopper control for dynamic power modulation, integrated liquid cooling with silver-bearing copper heat exchangers, and an overall efficiency above 95% at nominal load.
Efficiency and operating stability
Output power is managed by a digital system with real-time feedback. Every parameter, such as voltage, current and power factor, is monitored and adjusted automatically. This approach ensures uniform heating, lower losses and a longer coil service life.
Aselt Power Units are compatible with LMT transformers and IPC control systems, ensuring seamless integration of the entire energy chain.
Customisation and modularity
Every generator can be configured according to nominal power, ranging from a few kW up to hundreds of kW, operating frequency, single-phase or three-phase configuration and interfacing with automated lines.
The modular structure allows additional power modules to be integrated, preparing the system for future expansion without invasive work.
Integrated control and diagnostics
The internal control system safely manages start-up cycles, power ramps and automatic shutdown. Through the PLC/HMI interface, the operator can set process parameters and recipes, monitor current and voltage curves and export data for IPC traceability.
Predictive diagnostics detect electrical anomalies, temperature variations or efficiency drops, flagging the need for maintenance well in advance.
Cooling and safety
Every generator features an independent cooling circuit with flow-controlled pumps, heat exchangers and flow sensors, inlet and outlet water temperature control, plus thermal safety systems and overcurrent protection.
The compact, enclosed design reduces the risk of contamination and allows installation even in harsh industrial environments.
Industrial applications
Aselt Power Units are used across many industrial sectors, including automotive for hardening and brazing of engine components, precision engineering for controlled heating of shafts and gears, and energy and piping for brazing and treatment of metal fittings.
Their high reliability makes them suitable both for continuous production and for integration into automated lines.
